It’s time for the annual Children’s Art Show! We’re doing things a little differently this year, so make sure you read the whole post!
Each year we have our students choose one piece of artwork they’ve done during the year of classes and put it in the art show! Friends, Family and students can then all vote for the winners based on different age categories! We then have a reception to reveal the winners, and see if who you voted for won! It’s a great day to celebrate art, fun and friendship!
- Drop-off of pictures will take place at the home studio during classes starting Saturday May 16th- Friday May 22nd. If you have to drop-off outside of class time, just let me know!
- We are doing MATTS ONLY this year— no full frames necessary! If you do a full frame, it still must be wire ready to hang, and lightweight! You can get matts from Michel’s Craft Store– just take your picture to find one that matches/fits and bring to class. Or you can check your art sketchbook size and find matts on Amazon HERE.
- While we encourage you to get a matt and plastic wrap protection on your own, we will have some supplies available!
- Pictures will be hung at Mariella Montessori, 5 Skeet Road, Medford, NJ, which is our partner for both Art Show and Summer Camp! Voting will be BOTH in person and online so everyone can participate!
- There will be TWO in-person voting events at Mariella Montessori! Sunday, May 31rst 1-3pm and Tuesday, June 2nd 6-8pm. Online Voting will also be available May 31rst-June 6th.
- Art Show Reception and revel of the winners will be Sunday, June 14th 1-3pm at Mariella Montessori, 5 Skeet Road, Medford, NJ. Students, friends, family and the general public are most welcome!
- If anyone wants to sign up to bring refreshments to the reception, just let me know! 🙂
